Delifrance with Dearest last week, was good but the baguette was so hard, we took so long to finish it.

the manager forgot our sandwich order and offered us free tarts, which we wanted to buy! but decided to wait and see if we got space in our stomach after eating the sandwich. YAY!! saved some $$

facial is not cheap though, but i like how it is not VERY red after extraction, esp when it is located at town!

MILO TRUCK!! ha the best run ever!! imagine 2k people run the sam route as nike run which has 5k. haha the route was damn spacious, so spacious that it is so lao kui to come in last. finished the race in 59mins 49 secs, my first ever time running within an hour. HAPPY HAPPY, but also means higher expectations next time.

Going through the toughest obstacle against myself. I cannot come to terms with. Today i ran 5km tearing. In fact earlier this morning i had wanted to run, but the thunder and rain was coming, so i did Insanity Workout instead... I am fat, so i gotta work hard hard to avoid getting even fatter. Because of the criticism, I acknowledge it. I have done smth about it. I have made changes to my lifestyle, I have made changes to the food I eat. and I will work harder. its a recurring issue I know would resurfaced if we didnt resolve it. I know I can't dress well, don't have the best complexion, don't have the best make up skills... you expect me to 'at my best' just because you were at your best. Sorry I look terrible because I have no makeup on. 'Isham is one kind... he usually take one look at me, judge me, and if i am not up to standard, his body language shows. He won't even take a second look at me, let alone hold my hands. This is not what I am worried, I am more worried about our future. Will he find new things to find fault in me? criticise me? 嫌弃我？ Last Friday, it was double the 打击, I was in jeggings and top, no make up on... he was what i described above, later he touched my stomach and commented my tummy can be seen. Babe, I hope you understand that other than working my ass off in office, I have been running since the day you said I was fat. I have been eating healthy food. Not even a word of motivation/consolation you had to shoot me right in my face? you know I never felt so bad about myself before. and to you you think your words are motivation for us to work harder for the future... to be FIT. Today after I watched the video he posted and tagged me in abt True Love is when you do things tgt. it dawned upon me that we are no where close to it. Again, me being me, hold grudges, bring this topic up again, expecting a word of comfort... he kept MUM abt it, he said he had nth much to comment on. I told him if I knew he was like that when we were in our first year, it would have been a straight break. But because these 6 years he has done more good than hurt, lets not by nitty gritty abt it. I said, you had no complains when I was at my fattest in Poly, he loved me and never complained I was too fat for his liking. Things change, people change over time... Plus, your own complexion is not perfect, so what right do you have to have such high expectations of me? AM i not trying hard enough? Your clothes 穿来穿去 also that few, you want to comment abt my dressing.... i think i have more clothes than you? Or am I just being too nice to you? Honestly, to me, i meet you to spend time with you, not to care abt how you dress, how you look etc, you can wear anything as long as you are comfortable and presentable. You can be so handsome that girls will drop jaws, but if your heart and personality is bullshit, which girl will make you their life partner? have la, blind girls, who hasn't realise your bullshit. I also want to have nice complexion even without makeup. hais. question... Is it worth going through these... I don't know. They say if you cannot accept me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best. you feed me unhealthy food den say I am fat. sad... I have effing disguting body with ultra disgusting lower ab fats I can NEVER get rid of. what shld I do?

the cyclist speed like crazy, sometimes i have to break my momentum to brakeeeee. lol

i ran at a wrong time where all the foreign workers finished work at the construction site.

Taman Jurong is so awesome it has construction all year round and my running route is affected max.

k la, tbh not all foreign workers are bad...

some very nice give way to me...

Concert hangover~
Met my at jurong east before heading to Max Pavilion @ expo.
Wont say I am an avid fan of wilber... but after his concert my impression of him totally changed
I first heard his song in P5, those were the days man, Mandopop was at its peak back during the days
Jolin,Jay,F4 and S.H.E and of course Wilber were up up and rising, i mean they are still rising now, but majority of the people now turn to kpop... heh
壁虎漫步,Tell Me, Kiss me 123 were 3 songs I heard back then.

To me... he always had to maintain a very 'COOL' image, in shades, cap etc.
he has a nice smile and shiny white set of teeth. HAHA
These 10 years I never had the chance to see him in real.
No luck, but this year!!!!! Finally got the chance to, concert are expensive things,
so I can only go when I have the means of course. Plus this is the first time solo in singapore.

The concert suppose to start at 730, but as usual, sound check and everything, I think it started slightly before 8pm, he came down via a ermmm.. globe and the lightings are so strong i couln't see him till he was reaching the stage.. hahaha super funny, we had pretty front seats. No cams were allowed in the first place but i think they lost control. 2ndly, because it is an extended stage, alot of fans move forward to where the railing ends. seriously, they shld just have a standing area!~

The first few songs were pretty new and duh me I am not that familiar though i could still catch a few lines.
he wore different jackets throughout and was perspiring like mad. Then he moved on to some slow love songs, awesome... he sounds even better than the actual track recording.

Then a lucky fan(fanclub girl i think), got to sing 专属于你, my fav song from the latest album, lean on his shoulder and take polaroid together. most importantly!! he gave his cap and shades to her!! wah, recoup back concert money liao, his stuffs cfm not cheap.

He did converse abit, admire his professionalism and hardwork. Running a fever and still had so much energy!! Then played the video his road to being 10 yrs in the industry...
could tell his motto is work hard, challenge yourself, push your limits = results
such an inspiration, towards the end, could tell he was drained out. He was panting (literally sticking his tongue out) lol, and at some point, i think he can't catch breath so sing. But he was very determined...
Even when he went down, someone had to hold him before the encore.
Love the end cus got many classic songs which I KNOW HOW TO SING!!! hahaha
不得不爱 was the best!!!

He looks as good as on screen. HAHA Such an inspiration.
oh ya, one thing to add he has lots of male fans too which is quite surprising.
I thought will attract more girls. He speaks abc english... and have problems pronouncing Bugis Junction
HAHAHA

Things have changed since the last time I blogged, oh well. CHANGE.
From small little things like i got a new laptop!! the old laptop was barely making it and it was time to change.. of course, with work i now have less time for proper use of laptop, i bought the cheapest $999 laptop, not glam and nice at all but it has really good specs given its price, didn't gave me any problems so far... no complains, previously used Compaq laptop and it served me well, Hp can't be that bad right...
anw if touch wood laptop is down, the service centre is walking distance from my office :)

Gotten my increment for this year, pretty satisfied :) though i have a new colleague to share my workload, seems like new things are piling too... which is zzzz but i must take it positively, as an apportunity to gain more knowledge, and since i am still young i should pia, whole new different story when your kids come in priority to work.

Travelling plans made for bkk and hk, damn heng we manage to get s.h.e's concert ticket in hk, for the same price and probably be taking class 3 of singapore indoor stadium, which only has 1 show. why can't they add more shows in sg, nonetheless, looking forward to the shopping and food!
i can survive without pork in hk! hahaa

Dont know what happened to the previous post... but i am gonna leave it as it is... Taking on more demanding jobscope this July... As much as it sucks to be drowned by work I shall take it as a learning experience and make the full best use. I must think that not everyone has the chance to do it and it will probably make my CV looks a tad better :) hehe. JIAYOU ME in 2013!!! i must aim to clear all backlogs before talking abt NEW things hurray!!! increment next month :) till then..

Singapore Discovery Centre

Can't remember when exactly this was, i remember it as a 'boot date',
both of us were donned in our Timberland boots
I remember that day i was feeling fat, end up most of the pics were unsatisfactory,
despite the hot weather i put on my not-so-thick cardigan and took the shot

Our original intention was to catch a movie there : Iron Man 3, which was AWESOME!!!
But since we had nth much to do for the day, and the movie only starts at 6,
we toured around Singapore Discovery Centre
In the beginning it was quite interesting, but I got bored too easily.
Feels home though, like really SINGAPORE!!

Since Dearest is a NSF, we also get to go to the Army Museum

FOR FREE!! they can bring in up to 4 guests I think,

Interesting, but no pics taken...

the army terms they use can be quite funny

There is also a 'shooting range' if you are interested... Need to pay though,

Coincidentally, the period we went, Dearest has just gotten his marksmanship

that is $200 extra... CONGRATS!!! :D

If you haven't been to discovery centre, the movie is very cheap, compared to the normal GV, Cathay

of course... because it is so economical, expect lots of families, kids especially...

but ok la!! WORTH IT!!

anw, prior to the Iron Man 3 movie, there was a free in house movie, smth abt aeroplane,

which was so long and draggy, in 3d summore. but cus the seat was too nice, aircon temp just right,

and not much ppl, both of us FELL ASLEEP!!! LOL ok joke...

BANGKOK 17TH-19TH MAY

Went for a 3d2n really short trip with my colleagues, short cus we are all in the same dept and...
can't take too many days of leave at the same time >.<

We got an extremely cheap deal at $300, SQ flight and staying at novotel platinum
(which is just above platinum mall)
end up lots of payment problems, although at the end of the day the payment went through,
but caused lots of unhappiness and MONEY cus have to keep calling...
Will think twice before booking again though the deal is ridiculously good!
Won't really recommend to friends....

Anw, our flight is at 7am, so we had to be there by 5.45am
I OVERSLEPT!! i woke the time they whatsapped and it was the time
i was suppose to leave home!! i was like OMG!!! rushed like anything
cabbed with fellow Jurong-er colleague...
Cab driver ask why my luggage so light, I only brought 2 sets of clothes. hehe
Lucky we reach ZHUN ZHUN 5.45am.

Flight was too short to enjoy entertainment, but the food was good (Y)
I didn't even finish watching my Taxi Taxi!
We were onboard A320 which was newer, theres a usb port to charge samsung phones also :D
too bad the plane we came back in, was the older one...
anw, we reached there, bought sim card, ding dong,
by the time we settled down and head out for lunch+shopping was abt 12+ already
oh, we stayed at the executive room, so there was this executive lounge that you can slack in,
for free!! but we didn't quite utilise it anw, we were out most of the time...

This trip, not sure why... dunnoe isit too short, doesn't seem to be as fruitful as my usual trips.
in fact, my loots from chatuchak like more than platinum mall :( sadly...

One thing for sure,THE HOTEL BREAKFAST BUFFET IS REALLY GOOD!
The service and variety is (Y)(Y)
Overall, its clean and convenient, will stay there if i have the budget!

The whole time we were there, we only had 1X authentic Thai food! HAHA. SAD RIGHT!
MK STEAMBOAT WAS GREAT!! I LOVE LOVE  LOVE THE DUCK.
my colleagues were very considerate, cus i don't take pork so...
they didn't order any pork to be cooked in the steamboat.
I appreciate it when we dine in a meal, they would always look out for me
AWESOME COLLEAGUES!!

MANICURE + PEDICURE!!! was there for at least an hour!!! HAHA LOVE IT LOVE IT!
i totally need no Gelish nails cus... I don't do housework...
still in good condition after 3 weeks.. HAHAHA
except the nail growing part...

On the last day, there was a 'annual gathering'(according to the letter from hotel),
Saw lots of ppl in red, Thaksin and Yingluck,
But wasn't any protest, peaceful gathering? Ppl just seating around, vendors were selling things...
Dread coming back but oh well... all holidays have to end...
We landed around 12+, i slept at 2, woke up that same morning for WORK!!! HAHA 

 

River Safari
The same day we went to sign our 2nd HDB appointment in the morning.

anw, 2nd appt means... 5% deducted from CPF, lucky for us its covered by our grant.

big headache now is the reno...

River Safari is not fully completed, so not all animals are ready to be exhibited.

Therefore, the entrance ticket is sold at a slight discounted price(still exp imho)
Because its the RIVER, many are fishes which i don't find as engaging as live animals from the zoo.
maybe its just me. haha
but at the end of the day, I was so intrigued by the rivers that I would someday want to fly to
a country bounded by Amazon river and see the animals! SO INTERESTING!

and those are like WILD animals. but oh well $$$$$$$$$$$

I am not a fan of panda, but they are cute when I saw them,
I have seen pandas in Hong Kong back in 2007 when i visitied Ocean Park in Hong Kong,

But that was a closed glass enclosure whereas this was open...
The spread the leaves at different location so the Pandas,

once they got sick of that stack, will move to the next stack... cute...

the whole 15mins we were there,EAT EAT and EAT

the other panda was sleeping... (can't rmb which is which)
of course la, in such a nice cool aircon, i also can sleep :D
anw, we tried the PANDA PAU which looks so promising RIGHT!!!

end up is just red bean pau!! SO DISAPPOINTED!!

The Manatees are so cute, their skin are like bag leathers that are spoiled and like dropping off kind...

they are HUGEEEEEE but they float around so freely and they feed on loads of veggies

Dinner with dearest on a Sunday(i rmb he had to book in, before that we had a intensive 3km run)
i almost died......
WANTON NOODLES!! haha babe says the Asam Laksa was good too!

anw, we didn't really get to enjoy the food since we were rushing for time

My ex boss came back from Japan and SEE!! THE TOKYO BANANA SO NICE LEH!!!
plus the uniquely flavoured KITKAT!

This TOM YUM NOODLES TASTE REALLY GOOD!!! HAHAHA 

 

The JOKE NIKE SHERUNS 5km was a total failure,

My and sy ended up walking >5km than doing the actual run.

its overrated, overpriced and the shirts this time aren't that nice imo.

Sundown last week... had the most comfortable night run but I had a timing worst

than my first 10km last year, not sure why- the route or the people?

nonetheless, happy i completed 10km because i have procrastinated running for so long

in fact, when i reached the 4km mark, i told myself, this was the furthest i have ran in 2 months!!

i am amazed how i always manage to finish 10km during races but during trainings

3km can be a chore...

My next race is in 2 weeks time... toughest race every year - MOUNT FABER

since exams are over now, i need to double the runs and intensity

Jurong lake run in July and probably break in Aug for hari raya...

Been disciplined to do abs exercises after running but like no use leh,
its like the fats are there and no way the abs muscles are gonna appear on those fats
so... looks like i need to do hell lots of cardio >.<
Ytd i ran at 10am, didn't even finish 2km, i stopped, i was tired, the sun was scorching hot
My legs were jelly, don't feel like its mine, though i ran with an empty stomach this hardly happens.
Told myself today i must do justice...
So i forced myself to finish 5km, i ran in the evening though..
So yay, completed 5km today... can't rmb when was the last time i finished 5km.. grrr

Met my girls ytd for gossip session and great food! love the food there!!
but i had fish overdose, had it for lunch and dinner ytd
this morning my mum cooked FISH AGAIN~
Planning for a trip overseas....

Exams are finally over!!!! This sem seems to be very distracted with work, family and me- just distracted. hate it!! anw i took 2 modules this sem which I think I will fail, pinning hopes on audit though, initially I wanted not to attend Financial Management cus I did not study for it

But realise i should not be a loser, I went, did whatever I can, stoned for 1.5hours...

For my 1.5years of ACCA, there was never one paper i completed EARLY!!! haha

the whole 3 hours is fighting war with time... but this time i guess i just wasn't prepared enough.

I will try harder next semester.

On a side note, ppl think I am not appreciative of them? Oh really?

no one know nuts about working, studying and managing your passion at the same time

I admit sometimes I just don't have the time, I may forget things...

If there is smth you are really unhappy abt, TELL ME, we could work things out.

I have to prioritise and i can't please everyone!
