I've got NO FEEL to countdown to 2010

though i can assure you that 2010 is gonna be way better than 2009.

2009 hasn't been good in general, even from the first day 01/01/09 i fainted in the train -_-

how cool.

anw just realised something,

In netball we always look for open spaces. cus that's probably the best option to pass.

In futsal, we still look for open spaces, but this open space tries to be as close to the goalpost as possible. Because i forgot futsal can dribble.

so it's like even if you're open space, but so far away, might as well i dribble myself.

hmmm. not bad observation after one sem of futsal! no two sems soon.

Not so good christmas

Christmas isn't good this year.

It was the day God took someone away from me.

Sat went msia with mum and bro.

sometimes i think i'm very fortunate.

I'm loved by individuals. and im really grateful.

I don't have a proper family to begin with,

but i know my mum, my dad, my bro cares for me.

behind them, i know my godma and godpa cares for me

behind them i know my uncle,grandma and everyone else,

dearest and friends care for me.

Well pampered...

Today i had the best food and largest variety of food ever with Babe.

We had Kenny Rogers, Auntie Anne's, Egg tarts and i can't remember.

We look after our own...

Today was indeed an eye-opener for a virgin trip to the Old Folks Home.

While there were part of enthusiasts, there were also a part of not-so-responsive.

or maybe it's not that they are NOT, perhaps they didn't express it.

Although i have to admit that all the activities screwed up somehow,

but it was the smiles on their faces, their claps, their attention that kept me going.

at least i know what i'm doing was worth it.

This event had also help me realise how lousy my hokkien is.

Maybe i haven't been spending much time with my grandma...

The karaoke was good though it was tough to find songs, create atmosphere...

I hope they did enjoy themselves...

I have always wondered if they knew they were actually staying in the old folks home.

Sending parents to the old folks home had always been a reality vs moral struggle.

It's inevitable yet realistic, we're bound to face this situation someday.

So is it really that under certain circumstances, it's acceptable to send parents to Old folks home?

Have you ever wondered all those that you saw today,

were grandparents or someone that saw you as a baby 18 years ago?

Aren't we, as a daughter/son of your parents,

Here, a summary of my Literature text, (short story anthology)

We Look After Our Own by Kath Walker

We look after our own is a descriptive story which is based on an old ,dying man and his daughter’s point of view. The story is well described with lots of vocabulary and emotions.

The story started of with the old man’s point of view at the same time describing the setting of the story. He recalled the times where he was a big man with lots of energy. His thoughts were interrupted when his daughter calls for him. The old man then realized how much weight his daughter had lost and how the burden she had had made her hot- tempered.

Her husband was worried for their health and decided to send the old man to a nursing home

The day came quick where the old man was to be sent away. The daughter was reluctant yet agreed to send him away

“We look after our own!” she cried

She added,” but I can’t bear to watch my father die”.

The story ended sadly.

She bent her head to listen as the town’s church bells called and pealed, summoning the Christians to prayer, to mourn, to remember, a son, a father and a past crucifixion.

If i'm not wrong there is an element of Racism,

the nursing home did not accept him because he was a black,

and everyone else in the home was white.

The sister thought he wouldn't fit.

So i think in the end he died in her daughter's care.

Hello guys, this is my 1000th post. how great.
Blogging IS part of my life, though i haven't been blogging often =(

sigh, okay today's my second day of common test.

1st paper was a goner.

2nd paper i had to cab to school because i thought my paper starts at 1.30

when it's at 11 instead. Shi Lin has never in my life be so careless/ben ben.

so no choice had to cab.

Thank god Taxi uncle was damn nice to chat to, and swear he is 1000000 funny.

and can think of the weirdest/random things to talk about.

That made me forgot i was late, until i reach NP!

wohoooo~ =D well, i managed to reach on time lah.

the paper was alright. not as tough as i expected.

hope to do well enough to cover my RFA. cui!

then again, not holding high hopes because this sem i've been oversleeping too often,

missed too many lessons. but it's ok, time to learn then!

i felt so weak so tired...

Just like how it felt on the 1st Jan 2009.

and once that happened in 2006.

wah sucks the fainting feeling.

this is no. 3 i expect more to come in the coming years.

As time goes...

As i witness more couples coming from my own ACC cohort,

I recalled how naive i used to be.

When I was in primary school, I think secondary school boys are handsome.
When I was in sec school, I think I'll find my One in poly.

and now that i'm in poly, I think soccer players are cool.

As in all the way I think soccer players are the coolest.

I even dream of myself being the wife of a professional soccer player.

Then again, It's a dream and I'm stuck hard to reality sometimes...

I hate committing into relationships because there are always restrictions.

Time and time after each break up, I would tell myself.

"Look, time to study and get a boyfriend in poly(anw they are more handsome)".

But time and time again, I just cannot commit into this belief.

Then time and time again, I got hurt/ hurt ppl(hehe)

Now i finally settled down =D thanks to 'Isham...

When i came to poly, I realise boys here ain't that great. like WOW type you know.

I have no prejudice against chinese just because I haven't got a chinese bf for 5 years.

A new milestone

Yesterday was amazing!! like always!

Had buffet lunch and headed for a soccer match afterwards...

oh before that we had an exchange of our cards

and i swear i was on the verge of crying when i saw this very sweet 2 year re-contract,

nicely done up. i could tell it was effort from sleepless nights.

and oh ya,

Babe got stung by a wasp or i dunnoe what bee?

Which got his finger swollen and had to go to the doctor.

It happened in school.

and he went back to sch after sending me cus he had to take

materials from the school locker to finish up the card.

If it wasn't for me, he wouldn't have gotton that!!

so sorry =(

sigh, so that night i was thinking if 'isham died from the sting. lol

but the first thing that happened was a penalty,

and the Thais were dominating throughout the first half.

how sad.

the penalty was due to a handball at the 12th min.

the thais had 3 other occasions with handballs but were not punished.

sad!!! but then again, some players shouldn't really be starting.

Neither did Shaiful's freekick worked. the thais tried to prevent freekicks near the penalty box.

But the Lions had got quite a few chances to score in the second half, but didn't convert.

sigh,

Hello guys! the whole of last week and this week is totally busy and crazy!!

and i bet next week is gonna be the same!

so my birthday 'celebration' officially came to an end ytd, with my pri sch friends!

that was love!! thanks for the presents.

while turning 18 isn't much an issue,

it felt special this year, i dont know why.

It felt as if i have many friends to celebrate with me.
